Points are a thank-you. The VIN Grade is the record.
Nothing you earn, buy or redeem changes a VIN Grade, how much a piece of evidence counts, or anyone's standing. Duplicates earn nothing, rejected evidence loses its points and fraud is clawed back. That's why a VIN Passport stays worth trusting.

How do I earn Win Points?
Every accepted contribution earns points by a published rule: a complete guided photo set earns 730, and odometer and VIN label photos, walk-around videos, receipts, notes, shop service records and inspections each have their own rate. Bounty vehicles, first evidence on a record, out-of-date records, weekend captures and your tier multiply the base.
When can I redeem?
Points vest 14 days after your item is accepted, if it isn't rejected. Your first redemption unlocks once your account is 30 days old, your identity is verified and you have at least 5,000 vested points. After that, redemptions follow your tier: Rookie every 30 days, Scout every 30 days, Inspector every 21 days, Ace every 14 days, Legend every 7 days.
What can I redeem for?
Report discounts, Garage Pro months, store credit that never expires, gift cards (Amazon, Visa, Target, Home Depot, AutoZone, O'Reilly), checks by mail for verified owners, and merchandise. The verified inspection voucher and any reward above the per-redemption cap are listed but can't be redeemed right now; the catalog marks them unavailable. Every tier redeems at most 12 times a year, and no more often than its tier's interval (every 30 days, down to every 7 days for Legend).
Do points change a VIN Grade?
Never. Win Points are a thank-you. The VIN Grade comes only from the evidence and where it came from. Nothing you earn, buy or redeem changes it, or anyone's standing.
What if my contribution is rejected?
The pending points for that item are removed. Duplicate files earn nothing. Fake or borrowed evidence leads to a clawback and can close the account.
Do points expire?
Vested points expire after 18 months without any contribution or redemption. One accepted photo resets the clock.
